On Monday 17th December, some lucky children went to City to enjoy a Christmas Party.
Everyone had a great time. They even got to meet Santa and two of his reindeer.
Thursday 16th November
Today Mr Percival did an assembly to tell us about an initiative that Manchester City were doing. They are giving a good cause £400,000 to change lives through football. They have chosen six good causes in six different cities. He told us a little bit about each of the causes, then gave each pupil a token to vote for the cause they thought would benefit the most.
The choices were:
Girls Empowerment in Manchester
Connecting Communities in New York
Social Inclusion in Melbourne
Crime Prevention in Bangkok
Healthy Lifestyles in Los Angeles
Disability Inclusion in Guangzhou
The most popular cause chosen by the children in St Augustine's was - Girls Empowerment.
Well done to Katie, Praise, Precious, Emily, Lilly, Megan, Darcey, Laiba, Lucie, Grace, Brooke, Stevie and Lacey who were chosen to go to the Etihad and watch Manchester City Women's team win 3-0 against St Polten
Miss Cookson and Miss Thomas said you were all brilliant ambassadors for the school. Well done!
