This week has been 'Stay Safe Week' in school.

The children have done lots of work on keeping themselves and others safe.

Lots of the children have been doing 'Bike-ability' and learning how to ride a bike safely.

On Friday the children were learning the importance of road safety. The class went out of school to practice crossing the roads safely.

Young Voices 2023        Young Voices 2023

January 31st 2023

Today, Year 4 and Year 3 went to Young Voices!!

We had to leave school at 1.30pm and get the tram into Manchester. We arrived at the AO Arena and were shown to our seats. We then began our rehearsals with our conductor David Lawrence and all the musicians and artists who would be joining us for the show.

7.30pm SHOWTIME! We sang our hearts out and danced all night!

There were over 8000 children in the choir and we even recorded a charity single with Heather Small!

We are so proud to be a part of Young Voices 2023

The Stone Age and Ancient Egypt

06/12/2022

Today, our class held our very own assembly for the school and some of our parents and carers.

Our assembly was all about the Stone Age and Ancient Egypt. We wanted to share with everyone what we had learnt about each period.

We each had our own lines to learn as well as 6 songs which we practiced everyday!

We made props of the kind of tools that were used and even had some dance moves to master.

We hope everyone enjoyed our assembly and now know some interesting facts about The Stone Age and Ancient Egypt.

Bring Yer Wellies!

Monday 17th of October

Today, our class went on our first trip of the year to 'Bring Yer Wellies'. We spent the day with Melissa, Nigel and Fergus, learning about how rocks and fossils are made and what makes rocks erode. They also shown us how worms are the best help when making compost as they LOVE to eat rotting fruit and veg! We met their horses named Ricky and Freddy who live in a paddock on the grounds.

During our visit we had a chance to work in teams to build a den and follow a treasure hunt answering questions along the way. Here are a few photos of our day in our wellies!
