                                                                                                04/05/2023 - Tatton Park

Today year 4 went on a school trip to Tatton Park. We explored some of the grounds and gardens where a beautiful mansion stands. Unfortunately the mansion and halls were closed due to a movie being filmed but that didnt stop us from exploring. We then went into the farm where we met lots of different farm animals. We even had the chance to meet piglets and lambs. We had a tour of the caretakers cottage and listened to stories of Mary, Herbert and Dorothy. They were the people who lived in the cottage in 1909 and looked after the land for Lord Edgerton. After Lunch we had plenty of time to play in the play area which we really enjoyed.

Yesterday, Year 3 and 4 performed the most amazing Bee Musical!

If you would like to watch it again, or missed it, follow the link below to view it on Google Drive...

13th March - Zoo 2 U

Today, we had a special visit from a lady called Jess who was from Zoo 2 U. We got the chance to meet different animals and learn about their life and habitats.

We met Nugget and Truffle the Duprasi Gerbils.

We met Poppy the African pigmy hedgehog. They are a man made cross breed Hedgehog from two wild species. An African 4 toes hedgehog crossed with an Algerian Hedgehog.

We met an African Giant Train Millipede named Curly.

We met a Bearded Dragon called Boris.

We also met a Barn Owl called Bow.

Jess told us all about what they eat, how they reproduce and what kind of habitat they live in.

Monday 13th of February - Festive Cooking to celebrate Diwali

Today we cooked our own Diwali feast that we could take home and share with our families.

We were split into 3 cooking groups: Vegetable Curry, Spicy Rice and Chapatti.

We were then given our ingredients and had to follow our recipe making sure we multiplied each amount by 3 so there was enough for everyone to take some home.

We chopped, peeled, stirred, mixed and rolled our ingredients.

Once finished Miss Wright divided it into containers making sure we all had an equal amount to take home.

We enjoyed making our feast and our families loved tasting our cooking!
