St Augustine's CofE Primary School

Believe, Achieve, Succeed

Thank you year 5, once again you came to the rescue. Thanks you for getting the benches ready for the summer term, by washing the benches and  sorting out story books, for everyone to relax and share.

Next term we will be looking forward to our new Lunchtime Menu.

The school council have worked hard in their meetings this term. They have also met other councilors from other schools, through the network, which is always interesting. So well done and thank you School Council for giving up some of your lunchtimes.

VOICE BOX

This terms meeting with VOICE BOX, was all about,

HEALTHY LIVE STYLES.

We discussed quite a few different issues including how smoking and  sugar can effect us. We all so had the opportunity to find out how to put an action plan together to campaign for things to happen in our school.

The School Council have been invited to Moston Lane Primary, for the 2nd meeting of "Voicebox" this term. Watch this space to keep up to date, with all the up to date news.

The School Council will be meeting very soon, so if you have any surgestion or ideas. Please see your class representative.

Welcome to 2019

This years christmas fair was a great success.

We would like to thank everyone who helped, donated and served on the stalls.

SUPER SCHOOL COUNCIL

We have just had the last School council meeting for this school year.

What wonderful members you have been. Thank you for all your amazing ideas and commitment, you have all given to the School Council this year. It really has been a pleasure working along side you. I am sure next year's representatives, will be just as AMAZING!

SUMMER IS HERE!!!!

Music, Dancing, Laughter, Playing and Fun!!!!

WHAT MORE COULD WE WANT !!!!!

The School Council would like to thank Daniel and Armand (yr5) from the Urban crew, for doing a survey at lunchtime. Ann our school cook, asked the boys to ask the children their opinion on the new flavoured yoghurts. They found out the children liked the strawberry and banana and custard flavours best.

A BIG THANK YOU TO MRS BARRATT      AND EBYAN FOR THE AMAZING,            BOOKY READING BREAKFAST CLUB.          THE CHILDREN REALLY ENJOYED IT!      WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START THE DAY!

Year 6. Assembly

Lest We Forget.

A warm, moving tribute to all who have fallen in the 1st World War, and all wars' since.

In school we raised £197.63, for this year's

Poppy Appeal.

The School Council would like to a big thank you to Pike Fold Primary School.

For holding the first Young Voice Box Meeting!

"How to you celebrate diversity and create an inclusive school community."

We did lots of activities on being a good listener.

There was also people from the Samaritians.

The school council went on their Young Voices network meeting. One of the things we talked about was Mental Health and Well Being, we came back with loads of ideas, which we discussed with Ms Shah. We pick this area outside Yr 1, because it is an enclosed space and lacked character.

AND NOW...

WE HAVE A WELL BEING SPACE WHERE FRIENDS CAN MEET AND ENJOY THEIR PLAYTIMES AND LUNCHTIMES.

Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) says that children and young people should have a say in decisions that affect their lives.  A school council can provide a meaningful way in which pupils can voice their opinions and have their views taken into account in decisions which impact upon them.

Here are some of the charities that we supported last year.
